Alibaba is one of the most influential B2B platforms in China, therefore it is usually an option for importers looking to find suppliers in China.
However, my recommendation is: if you are looking for a long-term partner, search through other channels, not just Alibaba. Why?
Here are the 3 main reasons:
1.With little to differentiate between suppliers, some suppliers on Alibaba use aggressive bargaining tactics to attract clients, which could result in a race to the bottom on price and quality.
2.Most high-quality factories have already entered the OE market, and are restricted by confidentiality terms from listing their products on Alibaba.
3.For most high-quality factories, trusted referrals and trade show participation are preferred over Alibaba for acquiring new customers. On Alibaba, it can be difficult to discern between genuine buyers and competitors collecting market intelligence.
